Ag in the Classroom

Growing the Next Generation

Teacher Trainings That Bring Agriculture to Life

Help your students build a stronger connection to where their food comes from, how plants grow, and the role agriculture plays in Hawai'i.

Through Veggie U Hawai'i and Where Would We Be Without Seeds, K–5 educators receive hands-on training, classroom-ready curriculum, supplies, and ongoing support to make agriculture part of everyday learning.

Whether you’re new to HAF Education or ready to bring more hands-on agriculture into your classroom, these trainings give you the tools to get started.

What Teachers Receive

  • No-cost for HIDOE and Public Charter School Teachers
  • Hands-on professional development
  • NGSS-aligned curriculum and classroom supply kits
  • Additional supply reimbursement
  • Lunch during training
  • Ongoing support from HAF
  • Eligibility for HAF’s In the Fields program, which funds hands-on student visits to agricultural sites, with up to $700 toward transportation, farm entrance fees, and substitute teacher costs.

Start With One Training. Bring It Back to Your Students.

HAF’s elementary programs are designed to help teachers make agriculture approachable, hands-on, and relevant—without having to build a program from scratch. Leave training with the curriculum, materials, and support you need to start bringing agriculture into your classroom.
