We’re delving into the heart of Hawaiʻi’s beef industry with keynote speaker Kyle Caires, Assistant Extension Agent at the Department of Human Nutrition, Food & Animal Sciences, University of Hawaiʻi’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.
Presented by Central Pacific Bank, discover how the beef industry in Hawaiʻi has evolved from its inception in 1793, shaping the cultural landscape and agricultural practices of the islands. Explore the unique challenges facing Hawaiian beef producers, from high production costs to limited processing facilities and competition with imports. Hear about the innovative approaches being undertaken to address these challenges and capitalize on opportunities for growth. And indulge in delicious and savory dishes created by some of our favorite chefs, featuring none other than island-raised beef!
